Hey Everyone,

So with the weekend nearing its end.. I thought id make time to report in with how im doing. This weekend was really good... I relaxed as much as I could..and with such nice weather..that made it easy to enjoy it. My buddy RJ came down for the whole weekend.. so we all got together for good times. I caught up on sleep this weekend too.. so I will probably be recording again starting tommorow.

For now.. ive uploaded another sample for everyone to enjoy. Its me playing along to an unreleased Conrad Simon song from the album EMS called "Vergolian Planet" ..its quite the song...and I hope ive done it justice with this demo. Ive always liked playing to this tune..as I find its very versatile dynamicly.. let me know what you think in the comments section!!.

Time For Change..

Hey Folks,

Lets see here.. Yesterday went well for me. I spent the afternoon being social with friends. A good friend of mine..James.. has come back from outwest..him and Aaron are becoming partners by starting a sound company together. James bought a huge PA rig yesterday..so that rocked. I then spent from 6-10 trying to record some more Black Frost.. I say trying.. because im fucking exhausted lately. I got one song done tho.. thankfully it wasnt a wasted day. But now im planning on resting today,saturday,sunday.. no drums..no working out. Im tired.

Today has started well.. catching up with friends online etc.. im now off to shower and eat and see what kinda plans I can make for today.. stay tuned... and have a great weekend everyone!!

Hey Folks,

Yesterday was good times. I started the day going downtown for coffee.. which lead to me deciding to go visit an old friend I havent seen in years. Aaron was busy getting tattoo work done til 6..But from 6-12 we planned to try recording. Well to our surprise my buddy RJ from Halation Studios came down with his pro video gear and shot about 2 hours of footage. So once we've edited it all out..i'll post some video!!

Today I think im going swimming this afternoon with a friend..and then im coming back to Aarons to try recording some more Black Frost. Wish me luck..and take care!!

I Wanna Rock'N'Roll All Night!!

First id like to mention one more sample solo has been added.

So today was productive for the short time we had to work with. We got 1 song down today.. Aaron had to cut out early to take his GF to dinner and the movies.. but we're thankful to have 1 more song done. I'll be heading back there tommorow for recording. I think i'll have to cancel my appt with u.i. because its not looking good for transportation...we'll see.. stay tuned for tommorows posts!! carpe diem!!

Hey Folks,

Well yesterday was spent as I mentioned.. mostly cleaning the house and lifting weights etc. I had supper and then went out with a friend for coffee til about 10ish.. came home and did some catching up online and then crashed early.. bout 12ish.. I didnt sleep very well.. so when I got up around 7:30am today..I stayed til 8:30ish and then went back to bed.. im now about to shower/have breakfast and then im off to record alllllllllllll day.. cant wait ..took the weekend off the kit ..so I hope im rested enough.. stay tuned!! & Smash On!!

Keep Track Of Visions In My Eyes!!!

Hey folks,

So Today is going very very well so far. I started the day at 7am.. at the hospital by 8am for an apt.. had blood work and chest X-rays done, because im trying to take my health seriously..and you never know ..til you know. I then went to the unemployment office and had a meeting with a super nice guy named Darren. He's made me an apt for wednesday with a councellor so we can decide if Music school is in my best interest. From there me and my mom had breakfast at Mcdonalds. Then I decided to stop in to check my mail...and to my surprise my package from Los Cabos has arrived. I got some stickers,pins,keychain,a pair of sticks. So far im happy with the sticks.. but i'll need more time with them to be sure.

When I got home..ive recieved an email from someone I care ALOT about..and thats made my day to be honest. So being uplifted by her effort towards me..ive been spending all afternoon cleaning house and lifting weights.. its almost time for supper.. so i'll report back tonight or tommorow with more juicy gossip haha.. take care for now folks..and thanks for the support!!

Tornado Of Souls

Hey Folks,

Friday started off really hard for me.. ive lost a friend threw romance.. but the rest was fun.. spent it chilling with good friends. Yesterday me and a buddy went and got the schedule to the local indoor swimming complex.. we're hoping to start going soon. The day consisted mostly of me soaking up the nice sunny weather we've been having.. drove around with my buddies til later in the night I went and helped a friend tune his drum kit. We then decided we'd bring my (2) 4x15" Peavey cabinets home to my house..as ive had them in storage for a year now.. lets pray the floor upstairs dont cave in on us hahah..

Today is another lounge day..but im hoping to spend alot of time cleaning house today and lifting weights.. im not home enough lately..so thats the intention for today.. stay tuned and take care.

So thursday resulted in 11 hours of studio time.. and man are my feet tired hahah. I got 4 songs done that we're happy with tho..so great progress was made. Ive uploaded a sample from the recordings to give you all an idea of just how sick this shit is!!!! Im So Tired Of Waking Up Tired.

Hey Folks,

Well since I last reported any news ive been in contact with the sound crew I applied with and ive been promised an in person interview when theyre ready. I spent all day tuesday moving gear to Aarons so we can record here instead of at my place as its a 10 min drive into the country. We spent tuesday tweaking/tuning and did some demo runs. Wednesday I put in 9.5 hours of smashing to only have 1 song done that im "ok" with.. im never happy with myself lately.

Last night I talked with TONY LAUREANO!!! who is one of METAL's BEST drummers of all time..hes the shit!! \m/

Today started with going downtown for coffee.. luckily I checked the mail and my new Mbox is here!! saaaaaaaaweet..cant wait to set it up now. Today im set for another 10 hours of playing.. stay tuned and wish me luck!!

Do You Feel?

Hey.

Yesterday was alright. I woke up early and wasnt feeling very energetic, so I spent the morning talking online with friends. Then I practised for a couple hours.. and then did some housework. In the afternoon I tried to apply to a local sound company as a roadhand. After that I went out with a friend for awhile..it was good times.Came home to have supper and then made plans with another friend for coffee.. so I chatted/browsed online til we went out.. again good times.

This morning I woke up at 7:30am from the noise of the winds outside. Super windy day today..so no bicycling for me today. Ive been chatting this morning with a friend about some serious heartfelt issues im having.. its a hard start today.. as we're both very unsure of our situations.. but least we have each other to remind us of the good in ppl.

Im now going to make breakfast and stuff.. i'll report back later tonight.. have a great day everyone.

Hot Dangit!!

well.. I did house work til 6. Aaron and I decided we'd try to record again.. even tho neither of us felt up to it. I didnt get a take that I was happy with.. and Aaron dropped news that we have to move the recording gear back to his place because half of it was on loan from mutual friends. So im not debating taking my kit to his house for a week to bust out this CD once and for all.. stay tuned for tommorows say! haha.

Feel Like Shit... Deja Vu.

Oi,

Happy Easter Everyone. I didnt sleep all that well last night.. spent most of the night dreaming of someone I care for.. so I got up outta bed around 10am ..figured I might aswell be tortured in reality since I cant escape these feelings even in my sleep.

Today I plan on taking it easy around the house.. I think my decade stretch of being a party hound is catching up to me.. so im giving very serious thought to giving up party supplies. Again.

Ive got plans to do housework and liftweights today..but I dont know if i'll have the strength for recording tonight.. we'll see.. i'll report back later tonight. Carpe Diem!!

My Mind Is On Vacation & My Body Is Working Overtime.

Sooo today wasnt bad at all.. went out for a coffee with a buddy til 3. 3-6pm was spent warming up on the skins for recording... 6-9 was spent trying to lay down song #2.. after 41 takes me and Aaron both agreed we'll try again tommorow.. all this working out must be catching up on me..so im staying home tonight to rest up for tommorow's session.

This Calls For A Bud Light!!

Hey!

..so yesterday rocked. After getting the stick endorsement I practised for a few hours.. cleaned house a bit..and then had supper. I showered and took off to town to celebrate the great news ive been having!! So this involved an 8 pack of Bud light and a bottle of Black Tower wine. haha Good times indeed. Last Night I had my TAMA tattoo re-done...hopefully it comes out better this time. Its not a perfect logo..so eventually i'll have it covered,..but for now it rocks =)

Today im planning on recording til 9.. yay!!

Hate To Brag But..

HOLY FVCK!!!

I cant believe this happened tonight..so im gonna post about it before I goto sleep..IF I can sleep!!

Tonight while I was on MSN.. I was speaking with the current title holder for ALL WFD foot records!!! ...thats right!! Tim "silver feet" Waterson!!! I was chatting with him..and we've been discussing how I feel confident I CAN break his WORLD record for fastest foot single strokes in 60 seconds.. his record being 1030!!!

Well.. after me shit talking about it enough.. I asked if I could call him to let him hear me play around a bit.. and he was up for it!! so I called and.. well..

HE SAYS I HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BECOME THE NEXT WFD(feet) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW!!!!! Ive felt confident in this for about 2 years now..and im currently using Yamaha Direct Drive pedals!!! not even AXIS!! ..so now if im to make a serious attempt..AGAIN..i'll need to raise money somehow for the gear I need..and then find sponsorship to texas NAMM in July!!! WOW!!

Time Keeps On Spinnin..spinnin..spinnin..

Hey!

Sorry ive taken so long to post.. busy busy busy!!

So I spent yesterday morning cleaning house.. 7-12 was cleaning.. 12-3 i worked out and smashed abit.. then from 3-6 i went to town to visit friends.. 6-7 I had supper/chatted ..7-10 I came back home and played drums.. man im loving how practise is paying off for me lately.. im finally progressing again!!

Then at 10:30 I was off to town to visit friends..ended up staying the night there. For the afternoon me and Marc went for coffee before he went to work his shift.. good times. Then I spent the afternoon downtown with friends until 6. 6-9 was spent trying record drum tracks for Black Frost.. I did 50+ takes and not 1 was a keeper.. Im having a real hard time doing these in 1 take.. im not Derek "1 Take" Roddy..yet Aarons computer seems to think I am hahaha..stay tuned folks.. always a pleasure keeping you all updated!!

At War Within!

Hey!

Yesterday turned out really good. I trained and did alot of housework in the afternoon. I then went out for the afternoon with a friend.. we went to a cabin he visits in the woods and chilled out..good times. Then we went into town and picked up Cryptor (Matt of Black Frost) and Mark,Brad..we all came down here to the folks house.. me and Matt jammed for a solid 2 hours.. it was good having a reminder of why I love metal so much!!!!!

I passed out on the couch at 12am.. up again by 4:30.. its now 6:30 and im showered and ready for action.. we'll see what the day holds!!

Monday Monday!!

Hey Everyone!!

Well its monday. I spent Sunday afternoon with a friend.. worked out a trade with him to have my old Dime 332 back in my possesion!! So now im sitting on 2 guitars for my studio project..im really happy with how things are working out for me here.. I spent the evening working out/cleaning the jam room.. then later in the night I had company come over and we just chilled in the jam room.

I just sent off the money for the "Mbox" me and my father have bought.. it should be here by the weekend I hope. Im super excited to have it.. once im able to record my own drum tracks..samples will be abundant for you guys!!..not to mention the 4 cd projects ive got going on will be coming alot faster!!

Im now off to have breakfast and shit.. its nice out..so I might go for a bike run.. i'll report back later!!

Play That Funky Music!!!

Hey Hey!!,

So.. Yesterday was good.. really good!! I started the day with housework/chatting online.. then it was shower/breakfast and off to the weights/drum kit.. I put in 3 hours on the kit and did my work out. I then worked out an amazing situation with my father.. we're building a home studio for ourselves.. as im now realizing being able to record my drum tracks at home is a gold mine for me.. it might not make alot of money from it..but i'll save a million dollars in the end!! ..so i'll keep everyone updated with that news!!

Last night I was out with friends.. rode my bike 10km into town.. toured around.. Matt of Black Frost got hammered and became the all mighty/famous Cryptor.. kicking in 4 car windows landed him in jail last night.. who knows what will come of this for him and the band. After that happened (which I wasnt around for..I showed up just afterwards with the cops at the apt) ..I drove home another 10km in the fricken rain.. ughhh..good training. Stay Tuned \m/

Like Sands Threw The Hour Glass..

Oi!

Yesterday was great. I spent the afternoon training/cleaning. I then went out for the night to help some friends out..and also help a friend adjust his kit.. its hard being reminded of so many good things ive sold him haha.. ive sold him every piece of his 22 pc kit.. so its always funny going to his place to help him tune/adjust. Ive gone threw so much gear I honestly dont think id ever be able to list them out.. ever. So I basically filled the night with that stuff and then socialized with friends.

Today has started off great!! ..made a contact with a Moncton drummer who is working with some ppl im trying to reach musically. Its snowing here today..so no biking :( ..ive only got this ample amount of free time til June..thats when my U.I. runs out..sucks.. I LOVE this free time for my training. So today will be spent indoors.. cleaning/working out/smashing/chatting online. Anyone who wants to catch me.. my email is now listed for all to find. Looking forward to meeting new ppl for SERIOUS reasons.. Music being the utmost importance.

Ive added a picture today that was taken last weekend while I was visiting family.. I play Bass/Guitar aswell.. someday i'll upload samples for everyone to hear!!! til then.. stay tuned!!

He checked out my samples here and complimented me!! Today was mostly spent being out and about for a change.. but from 6-9 I tried recording a black frost song.. didnt finish it tho due to more cursed issues.. we'll be trying again next week because my producer is booked with shows/commitments.. but overall im alive and holding on strong..

..If At First You Dont Succeed!!!

So,

Yesterday at 2pm we started recording the first track off the Black Frost CD. By 9pm we had done 84!!!!!!!!! takes of 1!!!!! song. It was a long day..and a long f'in song too!! 9 min long song..and im doing these songs START to FINISH ..NO punch ins..NO edits.. and trust me.. this song is no slouch.. so after FINALLY nailing a take that im proud of and happy with.. this being the 84th!!! take.. aaron decides his Mac G4 is too full..and wants to clear some space.. BUT by our surprise.. he DELETED the ENTIRE Black Frost folder.. ulitmately erasing all my takes..all the tempo maps.. all the edits from the mixing board.. ohhhhhhh what luck I have.. im CURSED!! stay tuned for todays battle!!

Hey Everyone!

Had a great friday today.. I spent the day working out/drumming/cleaning.. around 8pm I went out with friends til about 12.. where ive spent tonight watching drum vids/emailing..its been a good night.. im debating piecing out my buskin setup..but before I do..i'll upload pics to show the achievement. Id have no problem using the kit..but the city im in..is FAR from a "city" its like 6 small shitty villages crammed together to meet the population standards to be labelled a city..but its a joke of a "city".. so ya.. keep checkin in and i'll report in tommorow.. adios amigos!!
